Royal Enfield has announced that it will launch the Thunderbird 500 on the 11th of this month. As its name suggests, the new model will be powered by the same engine that does duty in the Classic 500.
The Thunderbird 500 will also get fuel injection like the Classic, and a similar power output. Other changes to the motorcycle as displayed at the Auto Expo in 2012 include a projector headlamp, a 20-litre fuel tank, bungee mounts, a split seat, twin trip meters, a rear disc brake and an LED tail-lamp. All the additions won't come cheap, though; the T'bird 500 is going to be the most expensive Royal Enfield on sale yet. The exact price will be revealed on October 11.
