- Royal Enfield to expand mini-showrooms
- Will open 300 showrooms
- Mini-showrooms needs lesser investment
Royal Enfield is planning to expand its reach in the country by opening a lot of mini showrooms. The company will open 300 small stores especially in Tier 2 and Tiger 3 cities.
The Chennai-based company has so far opened 500 studio stores in the country and the rest of it will be ready by the end of this year. The company has taken this approach as the cost of setting up and operating such stores are lower than the full-fledged showrooms it currently has.
Before venturing out with the new mini-store plan, the company tried out in a few markets and received very good response. The small stores require smaller investment, and that makes things easy for a dealer principal. In such cases, the dealership selection is quicker as the risk proposition is far less than the fully-fledged showroom. The company could always appoint a different dealer if in case the current one doesn’t perform well.
