- Continental GT will no longer be on sale
- Will be replaced with Continental GT 650
After discontinuing the Continental GT from the Indian market, Royal Enfield will now pull out this café racer from the international market this year.
Launched in 2013, the Continental GT failed to bring in adequate sales for the company in the country. This is primarily because the café racer culture hadn't yet caught up in India. But the company continued its sales activities, along with international sales. Interestingly, the Continental GT is being discontinued from the global markets too as it will be replaced by the Continental GT 6550.
The Chennai-based manufacturer revealed the Interceptor along with the Continental GT 650 last EICMA. These highly anticipated twin-cylinder bikes will hit the Indian market in the next few months. The pricing of these bikes are likely to be competitive in India as well as in other markets.
