Royal Enfield has announced that the fourth edition of Tour of Bhutan will be flagged off from Siliguri on October 10. In this year’s edition, 30 riders will be taken through the Himalayan ranges, the Annapurna mountain ranges and the Shivaliks over the 12 days.
The 1,500 kilometre-ride will take the riders through winding mountain roads, slushy off-road trails, water crossings, gravel tracks and through some of the most pristine forests. Though traffic is minimal, the terrains present different challenges to the riders. Starting from Siliguri, the riders will go through Phuentsoling, Paro and Thimphu, before commencing the return journey from the capital city. Riding on Royal Enfield motorcycles, riders will cruise through one of the most scenic country roads and mountain passes. Royal Enfield says that the route has been chalked out with the aim of offering a challenge to the riders, testing out their capabilities and determination.
The Tour of Bhutan is one of the most scenic rides and biggest rides in Royal Enfield’s calendar. Rides and initiatives like the Tour of Bhutan have been instrumental in promoting the Royal Enfield brand. In the past few years, there has been a significant growth in the enthusiasm towards touring in India. Such rides help in bringing Royal Enfield riders together and act as a good platform for endorsing Royal Enfield motorcycles.
