Royal Enfield unveils Custom Himalayan Flat Tracker in India

- Custom Himalayan unveiled 

- Will be used as a flat tracker at their new school

- No changes done to the engine 

Royal Enfield has unveiled a custom Himalayan. This custom bike has been made to look like a flat tracker.  

Along with the unveil of this bike, Royal Enfield launched their first flat tracking school in association with BigRock Dirtpark. The company is calling it the Royal Enfield Slide School.  

In order to make the Himalayan flat track ready, the Chennai-based company has done some major changes. Firstly, the bodywork is all different. The headlamp has been replaced with the number board. The exhaust too, has been raised and placed very close to the tail section. This custom Himalayan doesn’t get any brake at the front – a norm that is seen on all flat trackers.  

This Himalayan tips the scale at just 164kgs, thanks to the usage of lightweight carbon fibre seat and smaller S&S Cycles exhaust system. The bike is equipped with 18-inch wheels. The front tyre is different as well, and is now as wide as the rear tyre. This is done to get more grip from the front. Other than that, there are no mechanical changes.
