Royal Enfield has unveiled two new paint schemes for the Classic 500, inspired by the British manufacturer’s classic wartime motorcycles. Called desert storm despatch and squadron blue despatch, these two unique paint schemes mimic the livery of the original Despatch Rider motorcycles of the 1940s.
Each Royal Enfield Despatch motorcycle has been hand painted by using a unique film transfer technique. This technique involves transferring the camouflage pattern individually onto the motorcycle’s body panels, after which they are assembled on the motorcycle. The result of this technique is a signature camouflage pattern for each individual machine, which ensures that no two Despatch motorcycles have the exact same design.
The Despatch range also comes with genuine Italian leather seats and a classic leather buckle strap for the air filter box, which enhance the bike’s classic appeal. Besides these two paint schemes, Royal Enfield also unveiled a third battle green despatch paint scheme, just for the other global markets. The Despatch motorcycles will be produced in a limited run of just 200 units. Customers can book these motorcycles starting July 15 on the company’s official website - store.royalenfield.com.
