If you spot several Royal Enfields on the road with headlights on, chances are you are looking at the updated bikes. The company has updated its entire range with Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) and BS-IV compliant engine.
The Chennai-based manufacturer has also increased the price of its bikes by up to Rs 4000. The dealers have already started accepting bookings for these bikes. In fact, a few dealers down south have already received the updated Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350. Unlike other manufacturers, Royal Enfield dealers are not offering any discounts on the bikes they have in their stockyard. They are confident of clearing the existing stocks before March ends.
There were rumours of some of the Royal Enfield models getting ABS and rear disc brake too. However, the company has decided not to equip its bikes with these safety equipment for now.
