Royal Enfield has commenced the 20th edition of its Himalayan Odyssey ride with the flag-off at Chandigarh. The entire ride has been slated for 18 days with as many as 122 riders covering more than 3,000km. Moreover, the Himalayan Odyssey participants will also witness the first ever ‘Great Himalayan Adventure Festival’.
The ride contingent is divided into two groups - Team Zoji La and Team Zanskar, headed by the Royal Enfield Rides Team. Post the flag-off from Chandigarh, both teams will be taking two different routes, one via Jammu and Kashmir and the other from Manali - Jispa. The groups will meet in Leh. The Himalayan Odyssey riders will also get the opportunity to visit the Siachen Base Camp - the Indian Army Base Camp in the Siachen Glacier region within Indian Territory.
Speaking of the Great Himalayan Adventure Festival, it is hosted in the heart of Leh city between 15 and 18 August. The BikeWale team will also be attending the Himalayan Odyssey astride on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Our journey will commence from Leh, followed by treacherous terrain and canyon riding through the mighty Himalayas.
