- Classic Electric to be unveiled tomorrow
- Could be the most expensive Royal Enfield
- Likely to be showcased at Motoverse
After days of teasers on social media channels, Royal Enfield will unveil its most awaited motorcycle of 2024—an electric motorcycle—tomorrow at the EICMA 2024 show.
This motorcycle which is currently being called the Classic Electric also carries a rumoured Flying Fea tag. Recently, the company had purposely leaked a photo of this electric motorcycle ridden by Sid Lal, MD, Royal Enfield. This was done to create some excitement around the product, and it has surely worked worldwide.
From the picture, it is clear that this new Royal Enfield isn’t going to have big body proportions like the rest of the bikes in the portfolio. The Classic Electric will have a lean styling, and not have unnecessary body panels. This is being done to keep the overall kerb weight low, which will help the motorcycle have a longer riding range.
This motorcycle is also expected to get an in-vehicle infotainment system. As of now, there aren’t any details on the battery packs and motor, but there’s a high chance that the company would go for a strategy that will make the bike have a riding range of around 100-150kms. This being the first production EV, Royal Enfield could just start with a limited-edition model, followed by a mass-market model in a year or two.
The Super Meteor 650 is the most expensive Royal Enfield bike in the line-up. So this new EV is likely to be priced above this cruiser, making it the most expensive RE ever.
