Hero Motocorp has launched the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V in India at Rs. 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which makes it about Rs. 10,000 more affordable than before. This could be done to bump up sales since the festive season is around the corner.
The bike is based on the existing Xtreme 160R platform but gets the two-valve setup. That said, the Xtreme 160R 2V has received minor tweaks, including a revised H-shaped tail light, a flatter pillion seat, and a drag race timer, along with the price cut.
Hero is offering the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V in a single paint scheme of Stealth Black. The bike has black paint all over with red accents elsewhere. That said, it uses the same engine and hardware and retains the design as well.
Powering the 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is a single-cylinder 163.2cc engine that makes 14.79bhp and 14Nm. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox. On the feature front, the 2024 Xtreme 160R 2V gets a fully digital console with all the necessary readouts and the aforementioned drag race timer.
Its hardware comprises a single front disc and rear drum brake setup mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres. The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 2V’s suspension comprises telescopic front forks and a monoshock.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V rivals the Honda SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160, and the Bajaj Pulsar N160.
