Sarath Kumar is all set to make his debut in the third round of the Asian Road Racing Championship. The 24-year-old racer from Chennai will compete in the Supersport 600cc category at the Suzuka Circuit on June 4 and 5.
Sarath had to give the first two rounds of the ARRC a miss, because of a knee injury which had aggravated during his practice session at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand. Having recovered from this injury, Sarath will now make his debut at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
Apart from having several national level trophies under his belt, Sarath was also the first Indian to clinch podium victory in the Honda Asia Dream Cup Road Racing Championship. He has also participated in the Spanish Moto3 championship. This weekend, Sarath will be competing in the 600cc category astride a Honda CBR600WR for team T. Pro Yuzy Honda NTS Racing.
