Hot on the heels of the launch of the ZX-10R and the ZX-14R today, we have discovered from Kawasaki’s official Indian website that they will be displaying the Ninja 1000, the Versys 1000 and the ER6n motorcycles in their Pune showroom starting from next month. It is likely that the company might be doing this as a part of brand building exercise for the Indian consumers.
Kawasaki India will be displaying the Ninja 1000 in the Pune showroom till November 2013, the Versys 1000 from January 2014 till June 2014 and the ER6n from July 2014. Displaying these motorcycles is expected to help Indian consumers know more about the brand and its products. But this doesn’t mean the company won’t launch these motorcycles in India. It is very likely Kawasaki will launch these motorcycles eventually once they see the potential and the sales numbers.
The company today launched the Ninja ZX-10R and the Ninja ZX-14R for Rs 15.7 lakh and Rs 16.9 lakh (ex-showroom Pune) respectively. The Japanese manufacturer is aiming to sell around 400 units yearly and increase its market share in the country to 20 per cent by 2015.
