A few Bajaj dealerships have started accepting bookings for the Pulsar NS200 for a token amount of Rs 1,000, hinting that the deliveries are going to commence in a few weeks' time.
The 2017 Pulsar NS200 was unveiled in Turkey in December 2016. While the global model features fuel-injection, it has been confirmed that the India-spec model will not get this feature or an ABS system. However, it does get a few new dual-tone paint schemes to set it apart from the previous models. Under the skin is a 199cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which has been updated to meet the BS IV norms. Mated to a six-speed gearbox, this engine delivered 23bhp and 18Nm of torque in its older guise, and we expect the output to be same for the 2017 model.
We expect the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 to retail at around Rs 95,000, positioned between the Pulsar 220F and the Pulsar AS200. It will rub shoulders with the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and the recently launched Yamaha FZ25.
