Sena showcased its two new offerings, the 30K and the 10R, at the 2017 India Bike Week in Goa. While the 30K is the new top-of-the-line model, the 10R is a discreet little device with functionalities similar to the 10S.
The Sena 30K features a new Mesh Intercom system, which allows you to instantly connect to any number of 30K devices within a 1.6 kilometre range. This public mode doesn't necessitate pairing up with the other devices. In the private mode, the 30K can communicate with 16 riders within a range of 2 kilometres. It also integrates an FM radio and can pair up with your phone to allow calling, GPS navigation and play music. The 30K ships with a WiFi docking station and a utility app, which can automatically or manually update the 30K with the most recent firmware. The quick charger allows 30K to be chargerd with 5 hours of intercom use in just 20 minutes. It is also water resistant.
The Sena 10R on the other hand, is a low profile device. It gets a slim and minimalistic design, and allows four-way intercom through bluetooth within a 900 metre range. It also allows handsfree calling, music playback and GPS navigation by pairing up with a phone.
The Sena 30K has been priced at Rs 25,000 while the 10R costs Rs 18,500. Sena devices are available on several ecommerce websites as well as stores.
