- Sherco TVS announces squad for Baja Aragon 2019
- Team comprises of Michael Metge, Lorenzo Santolino, Aravind KP, Harith Noah and Aishwarya Pissay
- The riders will compete on the Sherco TVS RTR 450 bike for the event
With 2019 edition of the Baja Aragon Rally due to start in two days (25-27 July), Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team has announced its team, comprising of five members for this year’s event. The squad consists of Dakar veteran Michael Metge (France), Lorenzo Santolino (Spain), and three Indian racers - Aravind KP, Harith Noah, and Aishwarya Pissay. For the event, the riders will be seen competing on Sherco TVS Rally Factory Team’s Dakar machine – Sherco TVS RTR 450.
In the team, Michael Metge is a Dakar veteran who has won stage 9 of this year’s Dakar rally while Aravind KP is the only Indian to complete the 2019 Dakar Rally. Both riders have also participated in the Merzouga Rally held in April. Lorenzo Santolino, who had suffered an injury during the 2019 Dakar Rally is back in action. Joining the team is Aishwarya Pissay, who is currently leading the women’s category of the Baja World Championship and ranks second in the Junior Category of Global Championship. She will be accompanied by Harith Noah (Germany), who is also a factory rider for TVS Racing along with Pissay.
The Baja Aragon is a tough and challenging rally wherein riders will be seen covering a total distance of 827km. The 2019 edition of the rally with be the sixth one in a row to be held in Teruel (Spain) with the route passing through regions of Jiloca, Sierra de Albarracín, Cuencas Mineras and Community of Teruel.
