Simple Energy recently launched its latest offering, the Dot One electric scooter. It is Simple Energy’s latest e-scooter offering and also the most affordable now. Here are five things you must know about it.
Design
Although affordable, the Simple Dot One looks identical to its bigger sibling, the Simple One. The pointed fascia housing the LED headlight, sharp body panels with cuts and creases, and the overall sporty demeanor have been carried over on the Dot One as well. Simple Energy is offering the Dot One in six paint schemes – Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White, Brazen X, and Light X.
Features
Along with LED illumination, Simple Energy has offered the Dot One features, including a fully digital touchscreen console, smartphone connectivity for remote access, navigation, OTA updates, vehicle tagging, remote alerts, and more. Simple Energy is yet to mention whether the Dot One is to get riding modes.
Hardware
It rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock, while the braking duties are done by a 200mm front and a 190mm rear disc. This setup, too, is similar to that of the One. The Dot One gets 35 litres of underseat storage and features alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Motor and Battery
The Dot One gets an 8.5kW (peak power) motor linked to a 3.7kWh battery. This setup gives it a top speed of 105kmph and a maximum range of 151km (certified). Simple Energy also claims that the Dot One can accelerate from 0-40kmph in 2.77 seconds.
Price
The asking price for the Simple Energy Dot One electric scooter is set at Rs. 1,39,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This makes it Rs. 18,000 more affordable than the Simple One scooter. The Dot One rivals the Ola S1 Air, Ather 450S, and the Bajaj Chetak Urbane.
