- Spotted testing in India
- Features a design largely similar to the previously showcased model
- Could get better range and performance
The Simple One electric scooter’s test mule has been spotted ahead of its official debut in India. These new spy images reveal a handful of details about the upcoming Bengaluru-based e-scooter.
The new test mule seems almost identical to the previously introduced model. It’s equipped with the same apron-mounted LED headlight along with the turn indicators integrated into the handlebar cowl. Even the single-piece seat, youthful styling, and bodywork with cuts and creases appear largely unchanged.
When the first prototype was showcased in 2021, Simple Energy equipped it with a 4.8kWh battery pack and a 4.5kW motor. After a few months, the brand announced a third battery pack option and claimed a cumulative range of around 300km. However, with the time spent on the development of the final product since then, the scooter could get better performance as well.
In its beta stage, the Simple e-scooter featured LED illumination, a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-enabled TFT console, 2GB RAM, and four riding modes – Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. But the final version could pack more rider aids. The test scooter seen here is suspended on telescopic front forks and a monoshock, while the braking hardware comprises ByBre front and rear disc brake setup.
The last known asking price of the Simple One electric scooter was Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). However, it could be revised on the higher side now if the brand makes significant upgrades compared to the first setup.
