The Indian market has been witnessing an onslaught of electric two-wheeler makers with a host of new entrants. One of the recent brands to enter the Indian EV scene is the Bangalore-based Simple Energy. The company marked its entry with the launch of the Simple One electric scooter on Independence Day. Besides a host of advanced features and commendable specifications, it also offers a choice of four graceful colour options.
There’s a trio of dynamic paint schemes including Namma Red, Azure Blue and Grace White. Whereas, for those who prefer an understated-looking shade, Simple Energy also offers the One in Brazen Black colour scheme. These colours are draped on a sharp, angular and contoured bodywork which make the electric scooter look sporty and futuristic.
Simple Energy has also equipped the One with gallops of modern features like full-LED lighting and a seven-inch TFT screen. This cluster gives access to an array of functions like onboard navigation, music controls, and message and call alerts. The rider also has a lot of other info on their disposal like tyre pressure, geo-fencing, last parked location, and more.
The Simple One is claimed to deliver a top speed of 105kmph and a maximum battery range of 236kms. It rides on 12-inch wheels suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock while the braking setup includes a disc at both ends. The e-scooter has been priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes against another newcomer, the Ola S1.
