Simple Energy launched its much-awaited production variant of the One yesterday. This performance electric scooter has been priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). But it looks like the company has plans to bring in more e-scooters.
During the One launch, the company claimed it plans to launch more EVs for the Indian market. The timeline suggested for these launches are in two years. However, the company refused to share more details on these upcoming launches.
The Simple One has been in the making for many years, and the company failed to commence deliveries as it had promised during its launch in 2021. So we think the launch of these new products will be at least three to four years away as the brand will take at least two years to bring the One electric scooter to the masses. So it doesn’t make sense for Simple to launch more products as the One EV will take some time to make inroads.
