Simple Energy has finally launched its much-awaited electric scooter, the Simple One in the Indian market. This scooter is available in a single variant and six colours in India – and you can read all about it in our top five highlights story. Notably, the bookings for the Simple One electric scooter commenced in August 2021. However, the launch of this product was delayed due to several reasons.
In the latest updates, Simple Energy announced that it will commence the deliveries of the Simple One from 1 June, 2023. The company said in its press statement that it plans to facilitate customer deliveries in a phased manner, starting with Bengaluru. Further, Simple Energy aims to ramp up its retail operations in the next 12 months by increasing its presence in 40-50 cities across India.
The new Simple One is available at Rs. 1.45 lakh. However, buyers can opt for a 750W fast charger by paying an additional Rs. 13,000. The electric scooter is available in six colours – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Azure Blue, Grace White, BrazenX, and LightX. It will be manufactured at the company’s new facility in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu which has an installed annual capacity of approximately five lakh units.
