Previously, Bangalore-based electric vehicle start-up, Simple Energy had announced that it will launch its much awaited Simple One electric scooter in our market on 23 May, 2023. Now, the company has added that has started rolling out this electric scooter from its Shoolagiri facility in Tamil Nadu.
The company also added that it is gearing up to commence the deliveries of its flagship product to customers, although it is yet to announce a date for the same. Notably, Simple Energy had displayed a prototype model back in 2021, equipped with a 4.8kWh battery pack and a 4.5kW motor. Later, the brand announced a third battery pack option for an additional range. The claimed range of the Simple One is said to be an impressive 300km.
The prototype model was equipped with a range of premium features, including full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth and Wi-Fi-enabled colour TFT display, and four riding modes – Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic. Further, the hardware on the prototype version comprised telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, disc brakes on both ends, and 12-inch alloys shod in 90/90 front and rear tyres. The final version, too, should retain all these features.
Back in 2021, Simple Energy had announced an ex-showroom, Bengaluru price of Rs. 1.10 lakh for the electric scooter. However, the final prices may vary at the launch which is scheduled on 23 May, 2023.
