Simple Energy introduced its e-scooter, the Simple One, back in 2021. However, after a couple of years of hiatus, the brand has re-launched its flagship product and claims to have used the meantime to improve it. Let’s see what the latest Simple One e-scooter has to offer.
Has Simple Energy made any changes to Simple One’s battery?
Simple Energy claims its electric scooter has both removable and fixed batteries. Its capacity is rated at 5kWh and the total claimed range is 212km. The Simple One comes with a 4.5kW motor that offers 105km of top speed.
The charging time for the fixed battery is three hours and 47 minutes, while the removable unit can be fully charged in two hours and seven minutes. Simple One will also offer a 750W charger for an additional charge.
Are there any design changes to the Simple One e-scooter?
Even in its latest avatar, the Simple One e-scooter looks the same as before, and we aren’t complaining. It features a nice and sporty design with cuts and creases across the fascia, side panels, and an overall youthful bodywork. The single-piece seat with the grab rail has been retained. However, Simple Energy will now offer the One e-scooter in two new paint schemes – Brazen X and Light X, alongside the previous options of Namma Red, Brazen Black, Azure Blue, and Grace White.
What are the features that the Simple One e-scooter offers?
Along with LED illumination, the Simple One e-scooter also comes with a seven-inch TFT touchscreen that’s loaded with all the necessary readouts. It allows you to toggle through various features like Bluetooth connectivity, calls and music, document storage, navigation, OTA, four-ride modes (Eco, Ride, Dash, and Sonic), park assist, and more.
Are there any changes to the hardware setup?
Simple Energy has retained the hardware on the latest model. It gets a telescopic front fork and monoshock, a 200mm front disc, and a 190mm rear disc mounted on 12-inch alloys wrapped in 90/90 tyres. Even the tubular chassis remains unchanged.
What’s the asking price and who are the rivals to the Simple One electric scooter?
The asking price of the Simple One e-scooter is set at Rs. 1,45,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) Additionally, Simple Energy will also offer a 750W charger with the scooter for Rs. 1,58,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This is a notable price hike compared to the previous asking price of Rs. 1.10 lakh.
