Bangalore-based electric vehicle maker, Simple Energy has announced that it will be unveiling its flagship e-scooter on 15 August, 2021. The new electric scooter, the Simple One will be unveiled in Bangalore.
The vehicle will be also be offered in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Punjab. Simple Energy will introduce company-owned experience centers in cities of these states. The company will manufacture the electric scooter at its factory in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The facility will have a capacity to manufacture one million units annually.
The Simple One electric scooter will use a 4.8kWh lithium-ion battery that will deliver a claimed range of 240 km in eco mode. The top speed of the vehicle has been rated at 100kmph while the 0-50kmph acceleration in claimed to be achieved in 3.6 seconds. The feature list will comprise a mid-drive motor, a removable battery, a touch screen display, onboard navigation, and Bluetooth. Simple Energy has confirmed that its upcoming electric scooter will be priced from Rs 1,10,000 to Rs 1,20,000.
