- New Chetak variant spotted at a dealership
- Gets new TFT instrumentation
- Will also get a bigger battery
Bajaj will soon expand its Chetak e-scooter line-up with the introduction of a top-end variant. This model is being called the Premium variant and one such scooter has been spotted undisguised at one of the dealerships.
From the pictures, it is clear that this 2024 Chetak will get a TFT instrument cluster. This unit is likely to support Bluetooth connectivity and also get a turn-by-turn navigation system. The rider will also be able to access calls and text messages through this cluster. Moreover, this variant is rumoured to have a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Pune-based manufacturer will also give this e-scooter a bigger battery pack. According to leaked government lists, this Chetak will get a 3.2 kWh battery pack and that will help the scooter get a maximum riding distance of 127km. However, these are IDC figures and not actual real-world numbers. With a bigger battery pack, the overall charging time will also increase.
Bajaj is likely to price the new Chetak around Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and will make it available in multiple colours. It will compete with the Ola S1 Pro and the famous Ather 450X.
