- Gets a significantly redesigned bodywork
- Sports a clip-on handlebar and split seat
- Expected to get a more powerful engine
The 2019 model of the Suzuki Gixxer SF fully-faired motorcycle has been leaked through a picture, revealing some interesting details about the motorcycle.
While the image reveals only the cosmetic changes the bike has received, it does indicate that this model will be a major departure from the current gen motorcycle. The 2019 Gixxer SF appears to boast a more hunched-forward aesthetics as opposed to the outgoing motorcycle’s upright stance. The headlamp section looks sleeker and wider while the fairing has also been thoroughly re-designed to look more angular and edgy.
As can be further noticed in the picture, the Gixxer SF has now become sportier as it features a clip-on handlebar, replacing the single-piece unit of the outgoing model. The single-piece seat has also made way for a split seat further confirming that the riding stance will be more committed. Meanwhile, the exhaust can and the alloy wheel design have been retained from the current gen motorcycle.
As we had reported earlier, the next-gen Gixxer is also expected to get a reworked engine with higher displacement and power figures. This powerplant will be BS VI compliant. However, Suzuki will introduce only the carburetor version of the powerplant initially in order to keep the costs in check. The fuel-injected trim will follow at a later stage.
The Suzuki Gixxer SF (ABS) is currently priced at Rs 98,076 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With all the aforementioned changes on the cards, this price is expected to receive a mild hike.
