- 2019 Gixxer SF spotted at dealership
- Gets new bodywork
- Will get a decent price hike
We are just a day away from Suzuki’s biggest launch of 2019, and one of their products have been spotted at dealership. This bike is the 2019 Gixxer – a major upgrade for the current model that was launched a few years ago.
From the images, it’s clear that the Suzuki has taken a sportier approach to this new bike. The overall design language is sharp and aggressive. The fairing design too, is aerodynamic and merges well with the rest of the cycle parts. The fascia reminds use of Suzuki’s flagship superbike, but sports a conventional headlight. Then there’s the clip-on handlebar and is bound to make things sporty for the rider. The double-barrel exhaust, split seats and aggressive ergonomics will make things quite different from the current bike.
In terms of power, we are expecting a bump in displacement that could also increase the power a bit. The Gixxer series was always known for its performance, and with now extra weight, the bike would be need some extra oomph. The rest of the cycle parts like the suspension setup, brakes and even the instrument cluster could be carried forward from the older model.
We are expecting a decent increase in price hike for this Suzuki. Suzuki will launch a 250cc version as well along with this bike, and that would help the company enter a completely new segment.
