Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has launched the Honda CB150R StreetFire Special Edition in Jakarta, Indonesia, as an answer to satisfy the desires of consumers who wanted a different and aggressive motorcycle.
This CB150R StreetFire Special Edition is a variant of the CB150R StreetFire and will come with a trellis frame that’s cladded in red, wheels painted red and an attractive golden colour on the engine. To further enhance the aggressive look on this naked sport bike, AHM gave it a new visor and a sporty engine cowl to increase aerodynamics. This Special Edition has been launched in two colours, namely speedy raptor black and white.
Marketing Director, AHM, Tanuwijaya Tanuwijaya said that this product is in line with the current trends in the naked sports bike segment where consumers want their motorcycle to be different. "The Honda CB150R StreetFire Special Edition is dedicated to Honda’s naked bike fans who want to look more aggressive and different."
The Special Edition is powered by the same mechanicals as the regular version, which is a 150cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that has four valves and uses a six-speed gearbox. AHM claims that the CB150R can accelerate from the 0 to 200 mark in 10.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 125kmph. Fuel consumption figures are pegged at 40.6kmpl.
AHM has priced the Honda CB150R StreetFire Special Edition at 26400000 rupiah (Rs 1.25 lakh) and has projected a sales target of 21,000 units per month. AHM has also introduced a number of special accessories like a seat cowl finished in matt black, tank pad, fuel lid pad and an engine protector at an extra cost.
