- Honda Vario 125 launched in Malaysia
- Gets sharp styling and 124cc engine
- Will not make its debut in India
Honda has launched the Vario 125 scooter in Malaysia and will eventually debut the new scooter to other Asian markets as well. However, it will not make its way to India which already has the Honda Grazia 125 on sale.
Now, the Vario 125 borrows the styling of the Vario 150 and hence comes with sharp styling all over. The aggressive headlamp and tail lamp design complements its sporty colour options too. There is blue and black, yellow and grey as well as red and black on offer. Underneath the body is a 125cc, SOHC, single-cylinder engine with liquid-cooling that is good for 11.5bhp and 11.1Nm. In comparison, the Honda Activa 125’s motor churns out 8.18bhp and 10.3Nm. While the Activa does not get liquid-cooling, both scooters use a CVT gearbox.
That said, the Honda Vario 125 is loaded with features like full-LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp. It also gets a smart key like the new Activa 125. There also is a USB charging port and an anti-theft system as standard. As for its hardware, the Honda Vario 125 rides on 14-inch wheels with 90/80 front 100/80 rear tyres.
