2019 Yamaha YZF-R25 spotted testing
The 2019 bike gets cosmetic and mechanical changes. While the 2019 YZF-R25 is not going to be launched here, we can expect similar changes on the new YZF-R3 that is expected to arrive in India by early 2019.
Benelli to resume India sales operations from October
The Italian manufacturer recently announced a business venture with Mahavir Group under the subsidiary Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI). The alliance has signed an MOU with the government of Telangana to set up a plant in the state. This is where Benelli will begin assembly from October after which sales operations in India will begin.
Benelli TRK 502 and Leoncino to be launched this year
Benelli is likely to launch the TRK 502 and the Leoncino in India by the end of this year. While the TRK 502 is an adventure-touring bike, the Leoncino is a scrambler-styled motorcycle with a modern-classic appeal. Both bikes will retail in the range of Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 6 lakhs.
The first hike in pricing since it was launched in February; the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 is now dearer by Rs 2,000. The manufacturer accredits the hike to rising input and operational costs. It now costs Rs 1.27 lakhs (ex-showroom).
2017 KTM 390 Duke silently recalled in India
In a bid to rectify the issues that came with the 2017 390 Duke, KTM has compulsorily recalled all bikes of that model year under the ‘Monsoon Kit Fitment’. This is the second recall that KTM has issued for the 2017 bike, although the 2018 model remains unaffected.
