Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced that its 125cc scooter, the Access 125 has achieved a significant production milestone. The Indian arm of the Japanese manufacturer has rolled out the five millionth Access 125 scooter from its Kherki Daula plant in Gurugram, Haryana.
This is a popular model in the company’s portfolio and among the highest-selling product for the two-wheeler maker. The Access 125 is currently available in three variants in India – Standard, Special Edition, and Ride Connect. The top-spec version, as its name suggests, benefits from a Bluetooth module that brings features such as missed caller alerts, phone battery level indicator, and turn-by-turn navigation function.
Meanwhile, the complete range uses a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 8.58bhp at 6,750rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm at 5,500rpm. Notably, the lower models use steel wheels and drum brakes. On the other hand, the higher versions use alloy wheels and a front disc and rear drum brake setup.
Apart from the Access 125, Suzuki Motorcycle India also offers Burgman Street, Burgman Street EX, and Avenis in the 125cc scooter segment of India.
