- CBS offered as standard on disc brake variant
- Costs Rs 630 more than disc brake variant
- Special edition Access 125 now also available in silver
Suzuki has launched the Access 125 CBS variant in India at Rs 58,980 (ex-showroom). The company has introduced a special edition variant featuring a new colour option.
The CBS, or combined braking system, operates both the brakes whenever the rider uses rear brake. This system can reduce the braking distance of the scooter under certain conditions, making it safer. Soon, this safety feature will have to become a standard fitment on all two-wheelers below 125cc capacity, thanks to the government’s new regulations.
Apart from the usual matte black and white, the special edition Access 125 is also offered in a metallic silver paint scheme. It also gets black alloy wheels and grab rail and a beige seat which lend a premium appeal to the scooter. The mirrors are round and finished in chrome. It also gets a ‘Special Edition’ logo to set it apart from the standard scooter.
The Access 125 CBS is available in blue, red, black, metallic grey, metallic silver and white. The CBS is available as a standard with the disc brake variant, although the drum brake variant still misses out on it. The Access 125 competes against the Honda Activa 125, TVS Ntorq 125 and the Aprilia SR125.
