Suzuki is going to launch the new Access 125 in India tomorrow. Based on revised underpinnings and featuring a host of cosmetic changes, the new Access 125 will be pegged as a more premium offering than the current model.
The cosmetic changes on the Suzuki Access 125 give a retro touch to the scooter. The front apron, revised bodywork and boxy chrome-rimmed headlamp all set it apart from the predecessor. The vertically elongated turn indicators are placed on the front apron, along with the brand’s emblem. The instrument cluster design is also new and now integrates a digital multi-information display.
The new Suzuki Access 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which delivers 8.7bhp and 10Nm of torque through a CVT transmission. This engine comes armed with the Japanese manufacturer’s proprietary Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology to improve efficiency. The Access 125 will be offered with the option of alloy or steel wheels. Even when it comes to the front brake, customers can opt for either drum or disc brakes.
The new Suzuki Access 125 was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, along with the Gixxer SF FI and the Hayate EP. The new Access 125 will rival the Honda Activa 125 and the Vespa VXL 125. It will be available in five paint schemes - blue, white, gray, red and black. Deliveries are expected to commence right after the launch.
