- Suzuki rolls out 6 millionth two-wheeler
- Avenis scooter took the stage
Suzuki India has rolled out the 6 millionth two-wheeler from its plant in Gurgaon. The company sold its first two-wheeler in India about 15 years ago.
The company’s latest launch – the Avenis scooter was the 6 millionth vehicle to be made and rolled out from its Gurgaon plant. It currently sells the famous Access 125, Burgman Street and the Gixxer 150 and 250 series. The Japanese brand also sells a few big bikes in India along with the legendary Hayabusa which is the most popular superbike in the country.
Over the last few years, Suzuki has managed to bring in a lot of new customers. However, it hasn’t managed to expand its market share aggressively due to conservative production planning and execution. Currently, the Access 125 brings in most of the company’s sale. Its bikes don’t really add up a lot of number. In fact, the Intruder 150, which is a fantastic bike to ride, failed to excite the market.
