- Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 gets Rs 1,800 more expensive
- Priced at Rs 79,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi) now
The BS6-compliant version of the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 was launched in India in February this year. It was priced at Rs 77,900 which made it Rs 7,000 more expensive than its BS4 counterpart. Surprisingly, Suzuki has increased the price of the maxi-scooter once again and this time by Rs 1,800. The Burgman Street 125 BS6 has now been pegged at Rs 79,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Burgman Street 125 is a maxi-styled scooter with a bold front fascia incorporating a tall windscreen and a long tail section with a stepped seat. Its distinctive styling remained unchanged during the BS6 transition. Nevertheless, it did receive new features including integrated engine start-stop switch and Suzuki’s Easy Start System. These were added to the list of other already-available equipment such as full-LED headlamp and tail lamp and an LCD display.
The most important revision comes in the form of replacement of the carbureted fueling system by a new electronic fuel-injector. The 125cc, air-cooled motor produces 8.7bhp and 10Nm which is nearly the same as before. The Burgman Street rides on a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking setup comprises of a disc up front and a drum at the rear.
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 BS6 is available in four colour options including matte red, matte grey, white and matte black. In the 125cc segment, it competes against the TVS Ntorq 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125 and Hero Maestro Edge 125 in India.
