The SuzukiBurgman Street 125 sits above the Access 125 in the bike maker’s portfolio. Although both are powered by the same engine, the Burgman’s unique styling and additional features make it more premium. The maxi-styled scooter is now BS6-compliant and in case you’re planning to buy it after the lockdown ends, here’s all that is new in the updated Burgman Street 125.
Fuel-injected engine
Powering the Burgman is the same 125cc, air-cooled motor but the carbureted fuelling is now replaced an electronic fuel-injection system. It is claimed to be smoother and more fuel efficient than the BS4 powerplant. The power figures stand at 8.7bhp and 10Nm which has remained nearly the same as before.
Added features
The Burgman was already equipped with decent amount of modern features in the form of LED headlamp and tail lamp along with fully-digital instrument cluster. Nevertheless, Suzuki added more features with the BS6 update which includes an integrated engine start-stop switch and Suzuki’s Easy Start System.
New paint scheme
A dearth of maxi scooters in the Indian market means the design of the Bugrman Street already stands out which is why Suzuki has kept it unaltered. However, it has added a matte red paint scheme to its colour palette. It will be available alongside the existing colour options including matte grey, white and matte black.
Increased price
Suzuki has pegged the BS6 Burgman Street 125 at Rs 77,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which makes it around Rs 7,000 more expensive over its BS4 counterpart.
