Suzuki has revised the prices of its 125cc maxi-scooter, the Burgman Street 125, in India. People who are planning to buy the scooter now in July will have to shell out Rs 1,600 more than before. That’s a considerable hike for a scooter. The Burgman Street 125 is available in Standard and Bluetooth-enabled versions and their latest prices are mentioned below:
Burgman Street 125 Standard: Rs 85,971
Burgman Street 125 Bluetooth: Rs 89,471
(All prices are ex-showroom, Thane)
With the new prices, the gap between the Burgman Street 125 and its close rival the TVS Ntorq 125 has widened even more. The Bluetooth variant of the former is now around Rs 4,500 more expensive than the top-end Super Squad version of the latter which costs Rs 84,997. Furthermore, the Burgman Street is also more expensive than a majority of its other rivals like the Honda Grazia, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and Yamaha Ray ZR 125.
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is quite loaded with impressive features including an LED headlamp and tail lamp, a fully-digital instrument cluster, a large under seat storage space, and a sizeable footboard with dual footrest provision. Its 124cc engine is also profoundly refined and produces 8.58bhp and 10Nm. With a 5.5-litre fuel tank, the Burgman Street’s kerb weight stands at 110kg.
