- Updated model teased on social media
- Likely to get a bigger rear wheel
- More features on the cards
Suzuki’s 125cc maxi-styled scooter, the Burgman Street 125, is all set to receive a few updates in India soon. The Japanese bike maker has teased the arrival of this model on its social media channel while hinting at the nature of the updates it will get.
The most significant change it is expected to receive is the replacement of the 10-inch rear wheel with a 12-inch unit. The small rear wheel of the existing model has always stood out like a sore thumb on its beefy bodywork. A bigger 12-inch wheel will not only make it look more proportionate but the stability while riding will also improve.
The rest of the updates will be on the feature front. The teaser shows the inclusion of an auto start-stop function, a silent starter, and perhaps some internal changes in the engine to make it more fuel efficient. Having said that, the top-end Ride Connect variant of the Burgman Street 125 is already quite feature-loaded with things like smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
The existing Ride Connect variant of the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is priced at Rs 93,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Considering the updates mentioned in the teaser, the upcoming model of the scooter will be even more expensive.
