The most anticipated product from Suzuki, the Burgman Street, has finally been revealed on Indian soil.
The Burgman Street will be positioned above the Access 125 and is the most expensive scooter from Suzuki for the Indian market. It shares the same underpinnings as the Access 125, but the body components are completely different.
The overall body proportions are quite big for a 125cc scooter and that’s what makes it different from its rivals. It sports luxurious and sharp styling too as a way to attract many prospective buyers to its showrooms. The Burgman Street gets LED head and tail lamps, LCD display, flexible foot positions and a big windscreen. The scooter is equipped with front disc with comb braking system (CBS) as standard.
The Burgman Street is powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Access 125. Although the Japanese manufacturer didn’t reveal the power figures, we think the motor will continue to churn out around 8.5bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5000rpm. The CVT gearbox will be tuned differently to take on the extra weight.
The Burgman Street will go on sale later this year with three colour options, black, white and golden. There’s no real rival for this scooter but it will definitely take on the Vespa due to its pricing.
