Suzuki India recently launched the Burgman Street EX in India. The updated model has received a significant price bump of Rs 19,000. This brings the asking price to Rs 1,12,300 (ex-showroom Delhi) and gives you quite some other options to explore for the same price range. Let’s have a look at the top five alternatives.
The Tork Kratos is an electric motorcycle powered by a 7.5kW motor which is mated to a 4kWh battery. Tork claims that the Kratos can clock 100kmph of top speed and gets a range of 120km. It gets features like LED lighting, a fully-digital instrument cluster, multiple ride modes, regenerative braking, reverse mode, mobile connectivity, USB charging, anti-theft, a front storage box, and OTA updates. The Tork Kratos rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock while its braking hardware comprises a single front and rear disc. The asking price for the Kratos is set at Rs 1,02,499 (ex-showroom Pune).
The second alternative for the Suzuki scooter is the Honda Unicorn with an asking price of Rs 1,05,037 (ex-showroom Delhi). It’s powered by a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with its output rated at 12.3bhp and 14Nm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Unicorn offers a mix of spirited performance with frugality and thereby it has been favored by daily commuters. It rides on telescopic forks, and a monoshock and gets a single front and rear disc brake.
Yamaha FZ I
Another motorcycle that you could consider in this price range is the Yamaha FZ I. It retails at Rs 1,13,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) and has been around for a while in the Indian two-wheeler market. Yamaha has powered the FZ I by a 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that develops 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm. On the feature front, the FZ I gets minimal treatment and only packs single-channel ABS, an LED headlight, and a side stand cut-off sensor. It’s equipped with telescopic front forks and a monoshock and gets disc brakes at both ends.
The Pulsar P150 is the latest motorcycle in its segment and has been priced at Rs 1,16,755 (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards. It gets LED illumination, a side stand cut-off sensor, single-channel ABS, and a semi-digital instrument console for the features. Bajaj has equipped the P150 with a 149cc single-cylinder motor. It makes 14.5bhp and 13.5Nm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the hardware comprises telescopic front forks and a monoshock. It rides on alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.
Ather 450 Gen 3
Last but not least, the Ather 450 Plus Gen 3 is also an option for the said price. It costs Rs 1,17,495 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Ather recently updated its electric scooter offering and dubbed it the Gen 3. It gets a 6.2kW motor and a 3.7kWh lithium-ion battery which allows the 450 Plus to clock a range of 105km. It’s equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, five riding modes (four for 450 Plus) – Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, Sport, and Warp (only for 450X) – LED illumination, parking assist (reverse gear), and a seven-inch touchscreen TFT display.
