- Suzuki commences despatch of the Burgman Street
- Expected to cost Rs 81,000 (on-road)
- To be available in three colours
Suzuki has commenced the despatch of the Burgamn Street to select showroom. The scooter is expected to cost around Rs 81,000 (on-road), which would make it over Rs 10,000 pricier than the Access 125.
Just like the Gixxer and the Intruder, the Burgman Street draws inspiration from one of Suzuki’s halo products, the Burgman 650 in this case. Although it is based on the Access 125’s underpinnings, the Burgman Street has been designed along the lines of European maxi-scooters. It gets a wide apron at the front, which integrates the LED headlamps, turn indicators and a windshield. The digital instrument cluster might look similar to the one on the Gixxer, but gets a completely different layout.
At the heart of the Burgman Street is the 124cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 8.5bhp and 10.2Nm of torque. It rides telescopic front forks with a 12-inch wheel, and a rear monoshock with a 10-inch wheel. It gets a front disc brake with combined braking system offered as standard.
The Burgman Street will be abailable in three colours - white, black and grey. We should be able to get hold of the exact price of the Burgman Street on 19 July, when it will be officially launched in India. It will compete against the Honda Grazia, TVS Ntorq 125 and the Aprilia SR 125.
