Suzuki has discontinued the SlingShot Plus and the Swish 125 in India. While most of its lineup has been updated with BS IV-compliant engines, these two models have been taken down from the company's website.
This bit of news however, isn’t entirely surprising. In the past year, while sales of the new Access 125 has been burgeoning, the Swish 125 numbers kept dropping consistently. At one point, the company had revealed that its production had been temporarily put on hold to utlise that production capacity for the Access 125 instead. Now, the company seems to have officially discontinued the product altogether. The SlingShot Plus is another 125cc product which failed to live up to expectations. With sales struggling to reach triple digit numbers, Suzuki hasn't rolled out a BS IV-compliant variant for this one, choosing to discontinue the product instead.
We can, however, expect Suzuki to launch a new Swish 125 based on the new Access 125's platform in the near future. As for the 125cc commuter segment, there has been no word yet about the launch of a new product.
