The Suzuki e-Acesss was recently unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This is the company’s first electric scooter for India and here are its highlights.
Design
The e-Access' design follows typical Suzuki design cues. It has a raked front apron with prominent crease lines and a neatly designed headlight cowl. The side panels are largely flat while the tail section has a rather quirky placement of the turn indicators. On the whole, the Suzuki e-Access has a distinct design.
Battery and motor
The e-Access has a 3.07kWH LFP battery and the company claims an IDC range of 95km. This could drop in real-world scenarios. As for charging times, it takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge the battery from 0-80 per cent.
This battery powers a swingarm-mounted 4.1kW motor that can propel the scooter to a top speed of 71kmph. The scooter has a much lower top speed than some of its competitors.
Features
Suzuki has added a decent amount of features to the scooter. There’s an LED headlight, LED tail light and three ride modes- Eco, Ride A and Ride B.
Hardware
The hardware on the e-Access is similar to the petrol scooter. The frame is suspended by a telescope fork and monoshock, and the scooter rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear.
Competition
Suzuki is yet to announce the price of the e-Access but once it goes on sale, it’ll compete with the Honda Activa e: the TVS iQube and the Ather Rizta.
