Suzuki has registered a whopping 44 per cent jump in two wheeler sales in February 2017 as compared to the corresponding period last year.
Suzuki sold 40,175 two wheelers in the last month as compared to 27,802 units it had managed in February 2016. While other manufacturers have been struggling to cope with the aftereffects of demonetisation, Suzuki has managed to hold its own. As most of its clientele is from urban areas, the cash crunch hasn't taken a toll on its two wheeler sales. The Access has been the biggest contributor for the company's numbers. Special schemes like zero down payment finance plans have also helped the company maintain its growth.
Suzuki recently launched MY 2017 versions of the Gixxer, Gixxer SF and the Access featuring BS IV compliant engines, automatic headlamp on (AHO) and new paint schemes. This should help the company keep the momentum going for the next few months. The company also announced its intentions to update the rest of the range over the next few weeks.
