Suzuki has rolled out new offers on its quarter-litre offerings, the Gixxer 250 and the Gixxer SF 250, in India. The motorcycles are available with a cashback of up to Rs. 20,000 along with a free 10-year extended warranty. Those who want to finance their purchase can avail up to 100 per cent loan without any hypothecation. Plus, the buyers are entitled to get a riding jacket worth Rs. 6,999 for free. However, these offers come with certain terms and conditions and the potential buyers must contact their nearest Suzuki dealership to get the details of the same.
The Suzuki Gixxer 250 and the SF 250 are essentially the same motorcycles in terms of engine and cycle parts. What sets them apart is the design – while the Gixxer is a naked street bike, the SF 250 is a fully-faired, sport motorcycle. The former gets a single-piece, tubular handlebar while the latter gets a clip-on handlebar which results in slightly different seating ergonomics.
Both Gixxers are powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that produces 26.13bhp and 22.2Nm and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. They are underpinned by a diamond-type frame that rides on 17-inch wheels with telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. Suzuki has kept it simple in terms of features and the list comprises an LCD console, Bluetooth connectivity, and an LED headlamp and tail lamp. The fuel tank capacity stands at 12 litres.
