Suzuki recently launched the Gixxer ABS variant at a price of Rs 87,250 (ex-showroom). At a similar price tag you can opt for 10 other motorcycles and scooters. Here is what the list looks like-
The Honda CB Hornet 160R is the Gixxer’s closest competitor. Recently revamped with new graphics and LED lighting, prices for the bike start at Rs 86,336 for the standard version and go up to Rs 94,336 for the ABS variant. Another rival to the Gixxer is the Yamaha FZ-S V2.0 priced at Rs 84,012 for the standard variant and Rs 86,402 for the rear disc version. At the heart of the FZ-S V2.0 is a 149cc, single-cylinder, fuel injected engine that puts out 13bhp and 12.8Nm of torque.
Apart from the streetfighter variant, Suzuki also offers the Gixxer SF; a fully-faired version of the Gixxer. It is powered by a single cylinder, air-cooled engine which delivers 14.6bhp and 14Nm of torque. Pricing for the bike starts at Rs 91,300 and goes up to Rs 97,649 for the ABS version.
In a similar body style you could opt for the Yamaha Fazer FI V 2.0. The semi-faired motorcycle is based on the streetfighter FZ-S V2.0 and uses the same 149cc engine. The Fazer FI V2.0 is priced at Rs 88,143.
In the more powerful 180cc segment you can opt for the TVS Apache RTR 180, Bajaj Pulsar 180 and the Bajaj Avenger Street 180. The Apache RTR 180 is priced at Rs 82,441. It is powered by a 177cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 17.3bhp and 15.5Nm of torque.
The Bajaj Pulsar 180 is powered by a 178cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 17bhp and 14Nm of torque. It is priced at Rs 82,202. The Avenger Street 180 gets a laidback riding position and sports a modern appeal thanks to the blacked-out components. It is powered by a 180cc single-cylinder engine that puts out 15.3bhp and 13.7Nm of torque. The bike is priced at Rs 85,498.
There are two scooters in this list- the Vespa SXL125, and the VXL125. The SXL variant sports black wheels and a rectangular headlamp for a modern look while the VXL gets a classic appeal with its round headlamp and silver wheels. Powering the two scooters is a 125cc engine that produces 9.9bhp and 10.6Nm of torque via a CVT gearbox. The SXL 125 is priced at Rs 87,175; while the VXL 125 costs Rs 82,652.
