The price of the Suzuki Gixxer BS6 sporty commuter has witnessed a considerable hike in India. The motorcycle was launched in May 2020 with a price tag of Rs 1,11,900. Following the price revision, it demands a premium of Rs 2,041 now and costs Rs 1,13,941 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the new price, the Gixxer BS6 has become substantially more expensive than its rivals including the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZ S FI, Honda X-Blade and the new Hero Xtreme 160R.
Suzuki bestowed the Gixxer with a major update last year which brought along an all-new styling. While it retains its muscular demeanor, the bodywork comprises of sharper lines and contours now. In terms of features, it comes equipped with a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp and a fully-digital instrument cluster.
Powering the motorcycle is a profoundly refined 155cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine which churns out 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm. Weighing in at 141kg, it is also fairly light which aids in better acceleration and handling. Underpinned by a diamond chassis, the Gixxer incorporates telescopic forks and a monoshock. Braking is handled by a disc at both ends assisted by single-channel ABS.
The Suzuki Gixxer BS6 is available in three colour options including Metallic Sonic Silver, Metallic Triton Blue and Glass Sparkle Blue.
