Though Suzuki officially has not released the images of the Gixxer in all colours, we now have the images of the bike in various colours. The Suzuki Gixxer will be available in five colours- metallic triton blue, oort grey metallic, candy antares red, peal mirage white and glass sparkle black.
The Gixxer is a completely new motorcycle from Suzuki and borrows styling traits from the Suzuki GSX-R series of bikes. With a bikini fairing around the headlamps, the well-sculpted tank, a tidy tail and a dual shape exhaust can, the bike stands apart from its other Suzuki siblings. It features telescopic forks at the front, and single-shock suspension with an aluminium swing-arm at the rear.
The Suzuki Gixxer gets wide tubeless tyres which the company says will enhance the stability of the bike. On the braking front, the motorcycle is equipped with a front disc brake and a drum brake at the rear. Another highlight is the special Y shape, three-spoke alloys on the bike and the fully digital instrument cluster.
The Suzuki Gixxer is powered by a four-stroke single cylinder air-cooled 155cc engine that churns out 13.94bhp of power and 14Nm of torque. This mill comes equipped with the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance) technology which helps to deliver both good performance as well as fuel efficiency. The Gixxer gets a five-speed manual gearbox, unlike the GS150R which is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission.
Suzuki unveiled the Gixxer in January this year and displayed it at the Auto Expo. All the details of the Suzuki Gixxer are now available and the motorcycle is expected to be launched soon. Currently, the dealerships are accepting bookings for the bike while the expected price range might be between Rs 72,000 to Rs 75,000 when launched. The rivals of the Gixxer are the Hero Extreme, Yamaha FZ, Honda Trigger and Bajaj Pulsar 150 in the Indian market.
