- Tanay Gaikwad from Pune wins Race 1 of the third round of Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2019
- Race 2 was won by Syed Muzammil Ali from Bangalore
- Fourth round will be held at Buddh International Circuit from 29 November to 1 December
The Suzuki Gixxer Cup 2019, organised in association with JK Tyre Motorsport, witnessed an exciting battle amongst the racers in Round 3 which took place at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore last weekend.
The third round was split into two races. In Race 1, Tanay Gaikwad from Pune went on to set the fastest lap of the overall round three as he clocked a timing of 14:11:820. While he clinched the victory in this race, closely following him were Jagdeesh N from Bangalore at the second position and the third place was acquired by Sidharth Sajan from Coimbatore.
The Race 2 witnessed Tanay slipping down to the second rank as Syed Muzammil Ali of Bangalore outpaced him. Clocking a time of 14:12:167, Muzammil was slightly ahead of Tanay who set a lap time of 14:12:445. Both of them were joined by Sidharth Sajan of Coimbatore who completed the podium by finishing third. Now, the fourth round of the competition will be held at Buddh International Circuit from 29 November to 1 December 2019.
The Suzuki Gixxer Cup is a competition which provides a platform to the budding Indian racers for showcasing their talent. Started in 2015, this is the fifth edition of the racing event which is hosted in collaboration with JK Tyre Motorsport. Notably, the Gixxer Cup is backed by FIM and FMSCI (Federation of Motorsports Club of India).
