Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the spanking new MotoGP edition of its 155cc fully-faired motorcycle, the 2019 Gixxer SF 155. The bike has been priced at Rs 1,10,605 (ex-showroom, Delhi) which is a premium of around Rs 800 over the standard motorcycle.
The company has recently launched the 2019 edition of the Gixxer SF 155 which carries an all-new design. While the new styling is already more aggressive than the previous model, the new MotoGP edition looks sportier. A tribute to the brand’s racing legacy, this new edition boasts of the Team Suzuki Ecstar's decals along with wheel pin stripes, all of which lend the motorcycle a bold appeal. Notably, it adorns the Suzuki Racing Blue livery which is the one featured on the Japanese bikemaker’s MotoGP machine, GSX-RR.
Besides the aesthetic differences, the motorcycle remains the same in all other aspects. Powering the new Gixxer SF 155 is a 155cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor which churns out 13.9bhp and 14Nm. This engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking hardware consists of disc brakes at both ends which is assisted by single-channel ABS.
Suzuki has also announced that it will launch a similar MotoGP edition of its all-new Gixxer SF 250 in the month of August. While the standard model is priced at Rs 1,70,655 (ex-showroom, Delhi), expect the new edition to carry a similar premium as its 155cc sibling.
