Suzuki Motorcycle India has listed the BS6-compliant Gixxer SF 250 on its website. The latest iteration of the quarter-litre Suzuki motorcycle will be launched very soon, although the company has not given any specific timeline. While we await more details, here’s what you can expect to see on the Gixxer SF 250 BS6.
Design and Features
The BS6-compliant Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 will retain the styling of the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, buyers would get a full-fairing design along with features such as LED headlight, LED taillight, digital instrument cluster, clip-on handlebars, split seat and twin mufflers. The paint options, too, will remain unaltered from the BS4 motorcycle, and the Gixxer SF 250 BS6 will be offered in two colours – Metallic Matte Platinum Silver and Metallic Matter Black. Suzuki will also offer a MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF 250 that will get Metallic Triton Blue paint.
Cycle Parts
Similar to the design, the Gixxer SF 250 BS6 will retain the cycle parts from its predecessor. The shock absorption tasks will be handled by telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. Anchoring power will come from disc brakes on both wheels while the safety net will comprise of dual-channel ABS.
Engine
The BS6-compliant model will continue to feature a 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine with fuel injection technology. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor will produce 26.1bhp of power and 22.2Nm of torque. The power output is identical to the BS4 model while the torque has come down marginally.
